Summary of interview

For this assignment, I chose to interview Mr. Cody Daniel, the Corinth Public Library's Librarian. We chose to interview in the Technical Services part of Headquarters in the Corinth Public Library Building. This area is private and for staff only. Daniel has an extensive, fond history with books, thanks to his mother being a kindergarten teacher. He and his brother have experienced reading and visiting the library since they were very small. His very first memory of a book is The Three Little Pigs. We talk about whether Daniel had a history of reading books throughout school from school libraries, and how his job as a librarian has impacted his reading habits. Finally, I ask what the library means to him. The library's services have changed quite a few of his reading habits, and he is now more conscious of how many patrons need the library's services, such as printing, using computers, and faxing.
